About this property
Heavenly's California Lodge and Aerial Tram sit directly across the street. Ski mornings here start on foot, not in a shuttle line, and lunch at home is an option. Upstairs, open-beam vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows open onto the largest deck in the complex, aimed straight at the mountain. Two gas fireplaces, a remodeled quartz-and-stainless kitchen, two updated baths, two bedrooms plus a bunk den. Heavenly Village, the gondola, and the lake are a mile down Ski Run.
The space
Open-beam vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows put the mountain in the room. The gas fireplace handles the cold nights. The deck, the largest in the development, looks out at the mountain and the runs, and it is the reason people rebook: coffee out there in July, snow falling past the rail in February.
The kitchen was rebuilt, not refreshed. Custom cabinetry, quartz counters, stainless appliances, and a gas range that actually cooks. Everything you need for real meals after a day out, not just reheating.
Downstairs is where you sleep.
Two bedrooms with queen beds and updated flooring, one with its own gas fireplace set into ledgestone, which is a genuinely good place to end a ski day. A third room, a den, has a twin-over-twin bunk. Two fully renovated bathrooms with custom tile and designer fixtures. Sleeps 4.

Guest access
The entire townhouse is yours, along with the private deck. The hot tub is shared with the complex and open to all residents and guests.
Self check-in with a smart lock; we text the code the morning you arrive. There is one exterior camera at the front entry for security. It faces the door and the common walkway only, never the deck, any interior space, or a neighbor's unit.

- City of South Lake Tahoe VHR Permit #334848.
- FAMILIES: under South Lake Tahoe's vacation rental rules, children 13 and under do not count toward the occupancy limit. Our 4-guest maximum applies to adults and teens 14 and up. Two adults plus your kids works well here (the den has a twin-over-twin bunk). Message us with ages before booking and we will get the reservation set up correctly.
- The booking guest must be 25 or older and must stay in the home for the full reservation. This is a city requirement and we verify it.
- Maximum occupancy for adults and teens is 4. The city sets this by bedroom count and off-street parking, and permits get revoked over it, so we cannot make exceptions.
- No parties, events, or gatherings of non-registered guests. Zero tolerance. This ends the reservation.
- Quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM. No outdoor noise after 10 PM, and no amplified music outdoors at any time. The community hot tub closes at 10 PM by ordinance.
- The home has an indoor decibel monitor. It measures sound levels only. It does not record audio and there is no microphone feed.
- No smoking or vaping, indoors or on the deck.
- Pets are welcome with a $200 pet fee. Let us know in advance so we can add it to the reservation.
- Parking: one dedicated off-street space comes with the unit, and the complex has guest parking. Please keep every vehicle in the assigned space or the guest area.
- Bear country. All trash goes in the bear-proof enclosure, and nothing edible or scented gets left in a car or on the deck. Bears here open car doors. We are not being dramatic.
- This is a two-level 1973 townhouse. Bedrooms are down a flight of stairs and there is no elevator, so it is not a good fit for guests with mobility limitations.
- Winter driving is real here. Highway 50 and Kingsbury Grade often require chains or AWD with snow tires. Check Caltrans QuickMap before you head up. Once you are here, the lifts are across the street, and the free Heavenly shuttle and South Shore transit run along Ski Run Boulevard.
